So here it is. My public (all three of them) demanded something bigger and better. Here’s to documenting my silly little life in NOLA (and surrounding areas).

About my Categories

bike stuff - I bought a bike with these grand plans of adventure racing and much more. I’m a little caught up in everything derby (see derby = life below) and trying to sell one home while renovating another(see domestic actions below)

book-worming - I also had this amazing idea of reading more books. This all started when the boyfriend started trying to “nerd me up”. Well, since the Harry Potter series, I haven’t had time nor have I really latched on to any other literature. After I finish biking, derbying, moving and everything else, I’ll try to squeeze in some more book-worming it.

day job - Every so often, I do something that makes me laugh - or- something pisses me off -or- something stresses me out -or- I’d just rather be doing something else.

derby = life - I play flat track roller derby for the Big Easy Rollergirls. The league consists of four teams, mine being the Marigny Antoinettes (currently undefeated). The others are the Crescent Wenches, The Story Villains and the Confederacy of Punches. The Big Easy Rollergirls is skater run and owned and required a LOT of free time if you are on the management committee or if you are just easily consumed by the things you love.

domestic actions - It’s rare that I have time to cook, clean, garden… Here’s to those times.

foot-bowwl - Well, really just some stupid way of saying football. I love watching Saints and Tigers football.

friends - You know who you are. You make the world a better place for me.

fun with karma - My belief that everything happens for a reason (similar to “what goes around, comes around) and the freakiness of my horoscopes sometimes being spot on got the best of me. Sometimes I share them with you.

healthy foolishness - Although I don’t consider myself fat, I occasionally get to the point where I’m just above comfortable. I do Weight Watchers most of the time (I’ve achieved life time once.. just a matter of sticking with it). If I make something worth mentioning, I’ll throw it out there.

knitting - I learned how to knit for Will’s birthday last year. The idea was to knit him a kick-ass binary scarf. I haven’t done that yet. So I started with the Raven Claw scarf… not finished. It’s been almost a year now.

movies/tv - I guess this one’s pretty self explanatory. I don’t get out much to see movies and I really focus all my TV energy on LOST. I’ll let ya know when something’s interesting.

music keeps me sane - I love music. It keeps me sane.

NOLA rocks - Anything and everything that is awesome about this great place that I live in. It took a hurricane and a roller derby league to get me to understand it… but now I do and I’m not going anywhere.

puppy love - The newest edition to the family: Bosceaux da Gama. He’s a handful…

rambling - Basically what I’m doing now, explaining every little thing. A lot of times they just don’t make sense.

shoulder shrug - I don’t know

silly bea - I can do some stupid things occasionally. The most important things are 1. that I learn something from it and 2. I can laugh at myself.

sweet dreams - For those nights that I have those really weird dreams.

venting (bitching): it’s all the same - Piss me off and you might find your name in this area.
