The long road home
I finally got my road home money! I can finally finish fixing the car port, reimburse myself for the roof and live happily ever after… and only a mere 846 days after the initial disaster.
Yay!

I almost went to Old Navy today to buy new jeans today at lunch, but I really want to wait a few more weeks and see how my WW meetings go. I wound up not going because I spent too much time in the kitchen today chit-chatting and talking about paint samples for the new house, with which I am becoming impatient not being in. I am also becoming more frustrated every day the “For Sale” sign is not in front of the house in Harahan.
I don’t read my horoscope as often as I used to, but I’m glad i didn’t read it today until after lunch.
Scorpio: Are you too focused on immediate gratification, now? Have patience. And don’t shop!
How bad do I really NEED new jeans? Well, the pair I favor has a rip from mid crotch to the back of my leg. The second pair I favor has little gnaw holes everywhere. The other two pair I have are not the right size. I bought them back when I was at my lowest weight since high school and they don’t fit anymore, besides the fact that one pair is Abercrombie and come with the holes already installed (I bought them because they were a size nine and actually fit my oddly shaped ass). The last pair fit just like my favored jeans (same style/cut/brand) but I got a long line of paint on them back when I bought my house 3 years ago (I think). None of these are appropriate for work.
I’m back on Core for Weight Watchers this week. I can’t seem to keep track of points lately.
I tend to get a lot of compliments on my food when I’m in my Weight Watchers meetings, mainly on my salads. Everyone’s always asking me what I put in it. Well, here we go. I might not be able to name them all, but I’ll start with this week’s. If I can find a working camera, I’ll take a picture one day when I make it on an actual plate and it looks all cook-book-food-prepared. Too bad I skipped my meeting today. This one sure was purtty.
Pea-Licious Crunch
Romaine Lettuce mix (with carrots and purple cabbage shreds)
Baby Tomatoes
Kraft No Fat Cheddar and No Fat Mozzarella (1/2 cup total)
Diced Avacado (1/2)
Alphalpha Sprouts
Baby Peas (From a can, about 1/3)
Red Apples (diced, skinned - about half = “crunch”)
Grapes (a handful for sweet)
Newman’s Own Light Sesame Ginger Dressing (2tbs)
Uses a total of 1 of your 35 allowance points for the week (because of the dressing). It’s so close to zero, it’s almost sickening. You can switch out the dressing for one of those spray balsamic vinegar no fat dressings for a similar taste, or use any fat free dressing for that matter and make the meal completely core.
Actually, now that I think about it, I’ll be skating at practice tonight, so I’ll probably earn that 1 point back, along with 3 more to play around with. Yum :P
I guess you can say we didn’t play our best tonight. But then again, you can also say that you should agree to play a game where chicken wing elbows are legal and back blocking is allowed.
It also seems that hitting out of bounds is legal.
It’s also pretty bad when the male douch bag couch of the opposing team in a league made up of all female athletes LAUGHS at you and your team mates when you hit one of “his girls” and they don’t go down.
Whatever.
Final score:
NWA 116, BERG 82
