Yard Sale
I hosted my second annual “get rid of crap and see how much people will pay for it” sale.
- This time I wasn’t hung over (from a long night of watching the Molly Ringwalds).
- This time I had everything pretty much set up before my first customer came in (when last time I wasn’t yet out of bed when the first customer strolled up — coincidently, I had the same first customer both times).
- This time there were no big ticket items (chairs and sofas and all that fun garbage). The biggest item was treadmill that we sold for twenty bucks. My mom paid a total of 40 for it to start, so I guess she got what it was worth.
Can you believe that no one bought the Ab Isolator, or the Pilates DVD for 50 cents? I’m also still left with Girl Talk, presumably the original introduction to color theory and crafting in my young life. Now I will be forced to go find this book in the garage and share excerpts at random. Be prepared, this book is circa 1989.
The LNK was in full stride. One of them even drew me a picture:
